Fees

• Fees are invoiced termly and payable in advance by dates stated on the invoice in order to reserve your dancers space for the term ahead.

• All unattended classes must be paid for in full.

Notice of Changing Class and/or Leaving

• Parent/guardians are required to give written notice by email to admin@rbballet.co.uk on or before the last day of the first half term should they wish to change classes or withdraw their child. The change of class or withdrawal will take effect from the beginning of the next term.

• If the required notice of leaving is not given, a half term’s fees will be charged in lieu of notice.

Student Adjustment

• The staff at Rigney Bank Ballet School would like all parents/guardians to note that at certain times it may be necessary to physically adjust the movements of student during class. All genres of dance are very physical in nature and require accuracy of limb placement. This is to ensure correct posture, positioning and to prevent injury.

Responsibilities

• All dancers aged 16 and under are to be dropped off/ collected at the dancing door by their parent/guardian at the beginning and end of their classes.

• Please inform the teacher if you are going to be late to class/ late to collect from class, and remind your child to remain inside the studio until you arrive.

Medical

• Please inform us of any medical issues in relation to dance that we should be made aware of.

• No nuts/ products containing nuts are to be brought into the studio (including in bags) - we are a nut free school.

• Any medication is to be administered by parent/guardians or self administered with written notice. Rigney Bank Ballet School staff do not take responsibility for any medication.

Uniform/ Hair

• Please ensure you have the correct RBBS uniform for class. Uniform available directly from Rigney Bank Ballet School - please email your dancers current clothing/ outdoor shoe size and uniform shall be arranged and brought to class.

• Hair should be tied back for all classes, and where possible neatly groomed, with a classical ballet bun for all pointe and ballet classes.

Changing Areas

• Changing areas are limited. Please arrive at class ready to dance in uniform.

• There should be no changing in public toilets.

Parking

• Free parking is available on site and can be done so at your own risk.

Exams

• Exams are taken in various dance genres throughout the academic year.

• If we feel your child is ready to work toward their exam, an invitation will be sent outlining the commitment necessary in order to achieve the standard required for their exam.

• As always, exams are optional, rather a great focus and providing a sense of achievement.

Photography/Video

• Photographs and videos taken by Rigney Bank Ballet School will be used for marketing purposes in relation to the school in print, social media and digital form.

Parent/Guardian Watching

• We welcome all parent/guardians to watch toward the end of each term, dates will be given in our newsletters. This is a lovely opportunity for you to see the progress your child is making.
